Get to Know Anna Worden

How did I get into this career?

I’ve always known that I’m a people-person. I love nothing more than meeting someone new and hearing their story, phone calls with friends, or family dinners. I just wasn’t sure how I wanted to pursue a lifelong career of connecting with others.

My sophomore year of college, I began seeing a therapist who undoubtedly changed my life. She shaped the way I view myself, my life, and the world around me. My therapist helped me find the resources and strength within myself to live the life I wanted. It was through my powerful experience with her that I realized I also wanted to be an agent for change in others’ lives.

What is my favorite thing about counseling?

It’s so special for me to witness growth, change, and acceptance in clients as they journey towards what they want for themselves. It’s the greatest honor to join such a personal and vulnerable experience with people from all walks of life. I’m blessed to sit with and cheer on so many strong and inspiring individuals as they transition through difficult seasons of life. These connections are my favorite about counseling. It’s rewarding for me to be let into someone’s life in such a personal way and witness them do phenomenal things.

What do I like to do when I'm not at Atlanta Wellness Collective?

When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my friends and family. I have loved ones all over the east coast, so when I’m able, I love traveling to see them. I love to read, be outdoors, or play with my dog Charlie. In the fall, my weekends revolve around cheering on the Dawgs!

What do I hope for my clients?

My hope for my clients is that we can work together to develop goals that lead to a happier and healthier you. I hope that you find a safe space that fosters support and comfort as you process emotions, your past, and your present. I hope that counseling brings healing and equips you for the life you want to live, just as it has done for me.
