Ashley Dressel enjoys working with children (ages 3+), teens, young adults, and families. Whether you're looking to support your child, learn how to manage anxiety, heal from past traumas, improve present relationships, or work through life transitions, Ashley is here to walk alongside you. She offers a balance between a listening, empathetic ear and skills or solutions you can take with you. She creates a warm, safe, and sometimes fun environment for those looking for support and growth.

If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or stressed, you’re in the right place. Taking a “client-centered” approach, Ashley creates individualized treatment plans for the needs of her clients. For children and adolescents, she offers play therapy, expressive arts, and social skills training to help work through issues in an age appropriate way. She works with parents to help better understand your child and what he/she is going through. When appropriate, Ashley enjoys working with clients who wish to incorporate their faith into counseling. Ashley also works with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Ashley received a Bachelors of Science in Psychology with minors in Public Health and Criminology from Coastal Carolina University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta with certificates in Child and Adolescent Counseling and Trauma Counseling. She has additional training in trauma-informed counseling. She is a pre-licensed counselor under direction and supervision working toward a license in Georgia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

In addition to practicing at Atlanta Wellness Collective, Ashley enjoys reading, trying new recipes, puzzles, taking walks, and exercising.
