Amanda enjoys working with young adults and college students experiencing a variety of concerns such as anxiety and stress, procrastination, self-esteem and motivation issues, “adulting” and “launching” as a young adult, trauma, boundary setting, perfectionism, and adjusting to life transitions. She also deeply understands the unique challenges of students and adults with ADHD/ADD and learning differences. Amanda offers a combination of an empathetic ear and life skills and tools for focus, effective communication, life direction, and mental health struggles. Each treatment plan is unique and focused on your goals, depending on what will work best for you. Amanda also has specific, advanced training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), providing an evidenced-based framework to help individuals experience healing from traumatic events.

Amanda received a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta with a certificate in Trauma Counseling. She is board-certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) and is licensed as an Associate Professional Counselor under direction and supervision. She has worked with individuals, groups, and families in inpatient hospital settings, outpatient settings, and in private practice.

In addition to practicing at Atlanta Wellness Collective, Amanda enjoys cheering on the Atlanta Braves, spending time outdoors, reading, and jigsaw puzzles.
